Exploring: Questacon

During the last school holidays, I took the kids to Questacon, a science museum in Canberra.  While we are already a bit sold on science over here, thanks to our beloved little "geek", this museum would easily please anyone.  With 6 floors full of buttons, flashing lights, sounds, computer screens, and a million other fun games, it is a kid's dream come true.  Over there, they are allowed to touch everything, every where, and all on their own.  And it's also lots of fun for grown-ups too.

We started (and finished) our day at the Mini-Q, an area reserved for the 0-6 years old with sections for role play, active play and water play, with also a quieter space with books and puzzles, and a section for teeny tiny babies.  Afterwards, we began our exploration of the rest of the museum.  It is hard to tell what captivated my little audience more: the giant fluorescent scarf vacuum game, the talking robot, the rocket show, or, well, the rest of the museum.  There was so much to see and do that we even had to skip the nap and stay all afternoon...

To sum up, all I am saying, is that we cannot wait to have visitors so that we have an excuse to go back!
