Eating: Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Le jour de l'anniversaire de Mia, nous avions rendez-vous au garage pour faire inspecter l'auto avant notre road trip.  Heureusement, il y avait un centre d'achats tout près pour passer le temps.  Et puisque c'était l'anniversaire de Mia, j'avais envi de faire quelque chose d'un peu spécial.

Alors nous sommes entrées au Max Brenner Chocolate Bar...

J'ai commandé un mocha, et un employé m'a suggéré le biscuit à décorer pour Mia.  Le mocha était probablement la meilleure boisson chaude que je n'ai jamais bu.  Et le biscuit était absolument parfait: un gros biscuit en forme de coco (c'était Pâques), a petit bol de chocolat fondu, a bol de mini-guimauves et un autre avec des petits bonbons.  Mia a passé une bonne demi-heure complètement concentrée à décorer son biscuit et lécher la cuillère de chocolat.  Et la cerise sur le sunday?  Ce sont eux qui ramasse tout quand on a fini!

Le chocolat était vraiment délicieux.  Et ils ont tellement d'autres choses à essayer... Une activité définitivement ré-inscrite sur notre liste de choses à faire cet hiver!

On Mia's actual birthday, we had an appointment at the garage to get the car ready for our road trip.  Fortunately, there was a mall nearby for us to spend time while waiting.  And since it was Mia's birthday, I wanted to do something a little bit special.

So, we walked into Max Brenner Chocolate Bar...

I ordered a mocha, and the staff suggested the "decorate your own cookie" special for Mia.  The mocha was probably the best hot drink I have ever had.  And the cookie was absolutely perfect: a large egg-shaped cookie (it was Easter), a little bowl full of melted chocolate, a bowl of mini-marshmallow, and another one with sprinkles.  Mia spent a good half hour extremely concentrated decorating her cookie and licking the chocolate off the spoon.  And to top it all, they cleaned up all the mess for me!

The chocolate was really very good.  And they have so many more yummy things to try...  Definitely putting this back on our to-do list for one lazy sunday morning this winter!
