Birthday party!

This year, we weren't sure what to do for Elie's birthday party. I love throwing them a party at home, but I wasn't sure I would have time to do anything between the move, the baby, and the rest of our lives. And to be honest, I also wasn't sure how to entertain a bunch of 7-year-old boys for two hours...

In the end, we decided to do like everyone else and contract it out! Elie chose to go to see a movie with his friends, I paid the bill, and that was it. It took approximately 15 minutes to organise, and after having spent the previous 2 days in bed with gastro, I must say that I think we made the right choice.

The kids watched a movie happily, while getting stuffed with popcorn and juice, and got a short and mismanaged party afterwards where they played party games in a room that was too small and decorated all in pink and ate ice cream cake. The party boy seemed satisfied. I thought it was horrible. Nic was happy he didn't have to do the clean up after the party. And both of us were EXTREMELY relieved we didn't had to take care of this bunch of kids at home (and left thinking how lucky we are to have such well-behaved kids...!).
