All moved in!

So that's it!  We are all moved in!

Despite two months on the ocean, a little unplanned excursion in Hong-Kong et a full body search upon landing in Australia, our cargo arrived intact.  Thanks to the wonderful wrapping and packing job done by the movers back home, we have absolutely nothing to claim to the insurance!

Our cargo was split into two in quarantine, and so we were a little surprised to see a small road train parked in front of our house on Wednesday morning.  The movers quickly emptied both cargos and unlike their hard-working canadian counterparts, they were ready to get out of here before noon.  However, we had been told that the reassembly of the furniture and some unpacking was part of the package deal, so Nic kindly reoriented them to the inside of the house.

And then, when our countertops (and sinks) were full of dishes, and just before they started piling the stuff on the floors, we thanked them and decided to manage the rest on our own.  And it was probably a wise decision, given that we later found two big screws which are supposed to be part of the bed one of them reassembled for us...

And ever since that moment, we've been unpacking.
