This and that

No worries, mate!

Last week and this one are pretty boring weeks.  Elie is in school, Nic, at work, and Mia and I have to spend most of our days at home, waiting for people to come to fix or install various things: the tv guy, the painter, the fridge repairman... yes, because we didn't have a functioning fridge in the kitchen up until today.  We were lucky that there was an old beer fridge in the basement we could use in the meantime, but it makes for a long walk when kids ask for a milk refill in the middle of supper.

Let me talk a little bit more about this fridge situation...  The fridge in our kitchen was probably one of the most disgusting fridge I have ever seen in my life.  It took two visit from the repairman, and 8 hours of cleaning (4 of which were provided by an agency, thank God!) to make it usable again.  It is in those moments (i.e. when you have been scrubbing rust, mold and other unidentified substances for 3 hours) that you start regretting your days as a home owner.  And the two weeks without a fridge?  Well, that's just how they work over here.  No worries, mate!
