Sunny weekend

Il fait très beau à Canberra ce weekend, et nous en avons profité pour organiser un petit coin pour les enfants dans la cour.  Le très attendu carré de sable est de retour dans nos vies, hourra!

Et après avoir passé la journée sous le soleil d'hiver, j'ai une toute nouvelle appréciation pour les nombreux arbres dans notre cour qui procurerons un petit brin d'ombre tout à fait essentiel quand l'été arrivera.

Alors voici un petit aperçu de notre travail de la journée, et de notre cour un peu sauvage...  On a d'ailleurs trouvé plusieurs petits lézards en travaillant cet après-midi, au grand bonheur des enfants.  Et une grosse araignée, morte.  Et pas de serpent, pfiou.

It's a beautiful weekend here in Canberra, and we took the opportunity to work outside a bit and organize a little play area for the kids.  The beloved sand pit is back in our lives, finally!

And after spending the day under the winter sun, I have a new appreciation for the many trees we have in the backyard.  They will provided much needed shade once summer is here.

So here is what we did today, and a little peek of our wild backyard...  As a matter of fact, we found a few little lizards while working this afternoon, which made the kids very happy.  And a big dead spider.  But no snake, pfiou.
