" A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2016."

Élie: A very exciting moment in his little life: strawberries as far as he could see.
Mia: Definitely more eating than picking being done here, as expected.
Charlotte: She did not like her first picking experience, but changed her mind quite quickly once she agreed to taste the berries. From then onwards, she ate her weight in them every day.

In Australia, berries were one of the most expensive thing to buy. We used to get them as a treat. The kids would get raspberries for breakfast on their birthdays, for example. We didn't do any picking of any sort either while we were down under. There are some fruit picking places, but they are few and it's not a very popular family activity, at least not in the Canberra region. Might have something to do with all the snakes and spiders...

Needless to say that everyone was very much looking forward to trying our hands at picking fruit and being able to eat as many berries as we could fancy. And so we did.
