Exploring: Canberra's botanical garden

It was another beautiful and sunny weekend in Canberra, and since we don't have to look for a house anymore, we had tons of free time and decided to go and take a peek at Canberra's botanical garden.  We were not expecting much, but since it's so close, and since the entrance is free, we figured we might as well pack a little lunch and try it out.

Once again, we were pleased with what we found.  It's quite beautiful, and just big enough to be able to tour it with the kids.  But most of all, it was absolutely peaceful and quiet, and oh, so relaxing.  We ate our little picnic under the gumtrees, surrounded by colourful parrots, and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon. Kids were free to run around as much as they wish, and grown-ups could take the time to soak up the warm sun rays.
